CRC Browser
provides administrators and users with an easy navigation tool to explore their Enterprise system. Using a familiar hierarchy of folders and their contents, each item in the Enterprise system can be explored in detail. Examine the scheduling options for a report instance in detail. Determine the size of a report stored in the File Repository System. Look at the program code for an Enterprise script. See at a glance how long a report runs on different Report Job servers.
Browser View
shows the Enterprise desktop contents in a classic browsing page in a single pane. Click on
the folder and report icons to navigate throughout the Enterprise system. Find the folder
you want in its hierarchy, and view its contents. View report details and set custom properties.
Drill down on reports and programs to their instances and the instance contents.

Folder Explorer View
shows the Entrprise desktop contents in an outline page. Use the outline to compare
multiple folders at once. Click on a folder to show or hide the folder's
contents. The open folder lists each object (report, etc.) and its System ID and
number of instances. Clicking on a folder object switches to the
Browser View to show details.

Instance Explorer View
shows the Enterprise desktop contents in a split page. The left side shows an
expandable outline, similar to the Folder Explorer view, and the right side shows
the contents details that you select. Click "Options" on the right side to select
which of the 11 display settings to view and to set the number of instances listed.
Click on a report or program instance on the right to view the report or the program's
output in a viewing window.

Find View
shows a search page for finding any object in the Enterprise system. Simply enter the
System ID at the top, then click "Find" to find an object and view the object's properties (depending on
the object type); click "Browse" to jump to the Browser View for that object.
The lower half of the search page shows a context specific search form. Select the
type of search from the option list, and the display changes to show search options
for that kind of search. The default "Objects" search shows an object type option
list and a name entry area. Other search types, such as "Reports by Report Group" show
an option list of all Event Report Groups and the name entry area. Click "Search" to view
a display of all the objects that meet your search critera. Within the display, click
on a link perform the "Find by ID" search at the top of the page. From there, you can
click "Browse" to jump to the Browser View or search again at the bottom page.

Other...
shows a list of CRC Browser plug-in pages. These optional pages perform special
functions within the CRC Browser context. For example, the "Set Desktop Properties"
page shows a split page, similar to the Instance Explorer View, and allows you
to maintain custom properties for Folders, Reports, and other objects. Other standard
plug-ins are "Manage Report Designs" and "Show Recent Report Counts".
CRC often provides custom functions to our clients by adding special plug-ins to CRC Browser,
such as "Propagate Store Reports".
