CRC Event Suite for BusinessObjects Enterprise
extends the flexibility and robustness of event based scheduling
within Enterprise.
The CRC Event Suite allows any Enterprise event (the standard events plus
the CRC custom events) to be associated with an "Event Report Group".
CRC's Administration Tools support tagging any report object as a member of
an "Event Report Group".
An administrator must use the Central Management Console to configure the reports with the database logon and default parameters desired, just as for default scheduling.
The association of event(s) and report(s) to the "Event Report Group" must be configured only once.
With the event association and tagged reports in place,
the CRC Event Monitor schedules each report in a event report group to "Run Now"
when the event is triggered. Thus, reports are scheduled to run when the
triggering event occurs, with no time dependency and no individual report schedule
to maintain. To schedule all the reports, simply trigger the event.
