The event that triggers my nightly processing arrives at 11 pm, but I
don't want reports to run until 1 am (so that the report date is what
users expect to see). Changing the time the event arrives is not an option.
How can I schedule my reports to run at 1 am?
So the events that drive your system are outside of your control - nothing new
there. What is new is CRC's "Forwarded Event" - one of our custom event types
in our Event Suite.
Set your existing event to that it "forwards" to a future time - in this case,
forward to 1 am. When it's 1 am, the Event Monitor triggers the "target" event,
which can even be your original event so you don't have to reconfigure everything.

I want to run Crystal Reports in Enterprise as soon as possible
after my data source finishes its nightly updates. What are my options?
Here's are options for reports that run with default parameters that
you want scheduled ASAP:
- Schedule the reports using a Database Event, File Event, or On-demand
Event that's associated with an Event Report Group.
- Trigger the event from your data source system (update the database event record,
send the event file, or execute the On-demand event interface program) -
and all the reports associated with the Event Report Group will be scheduled
to "Run Now" by the CRC Event Monitor

Here's the option for reports that run with parameters that change - and you
want to specify the parameters through the scheduling interface:
- On the data source side, write a Report Request record to CRC's Report Requests
database table. Specify all the parameters in the request, as well as the report
output format (Crystal Report, PDF, Excel, etc.) and the output destination
(Enterprise, e-mail, file system, etc.)
- On the Enterprise side, CRC's Report Request Server processes requests from the Report Requests database table every few minutes. It schedules each report with
the specified report scheduling options, and monitors the report status until completion, so the requesting system can check the processing result.
